What do the holidays mean to you?
As we embark upon another holiday season, do you find yourself getting pulled into the holiday frenzy and forgetting the meaning of the holidays? Here are some strategies to help you focus on meaning and let go of the fuss.
1. Focus on the Here and Now. When it comes down to it, all we really have is THIS moment. When you find yourself worrying about setting the perfect table or meeting that year-end deadline, bring your focus to the present moment. Ask yourself how you want to spend THIS moment, then do just that.
2. Make a list of 3 things that would make this a meaningful holiday season and focus on doing those things. Let the other, less important, items go.
3. Make a list of your 3 most important values. Next, list one way that you can express each of them during the holiday season.
